This means that the demand for suitable venues is very high (and there are a lot of them). However, picking a venue isn’t easy because many factors have to be considered such as location, price, size etc. To help out with that process, here’s a list of the top 10 most popular venues in Lagos with their specs and prices so anyone looking to plan an event knows which one(s) best suit their needs.

 

1) Eko Convention Centre: 

Almost every major show in the last decade has taken place here. Located in Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, it is the largest multi-purpose event centre in Lagos. It possesses a banquet and exhibition centre that can be divided into 5 different sections. With 5,151 metres of square space, it can fit 270 exhibition stands and can also host concerts with up to 6,000 audience members. Renting this venue costs about N9 million and above. Before you scream, know that the centre comes with built-in sound systems and professional lighting. So it’s not that pricey when you think about it.

 

2) Landmark Event Centre:

With 40,000 square metres, this venue located in Victoria Island boasts of the capacity to accommodate 2000 people in theatre-style seating and 1200 people in banquet-style seating. Sweet additions to this venue include a private beachfront and a 1000 vehicle capacity parking space.

It costs about N5 million to rent.

 

3) Victoria Crown Hotel:

Located at Ajose Adeogun, Victoria Island, what this venue lacks in size (it can contain only 400 people in theatre-style seating style and 250 people for a banquet arrangement), it makes up for in security.

 

4) Civic Centre:

Located on Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, this venue (which can accommodate 1000 people in theatre style-setting and 600 people for banquet arrangements) is the favourite of celebrities and socialites who love to host events at exotic places.

It costs about N2.5 million to rent this place on weekends and N1.8 million for weekdays.

 

5) The Lekki Coliseum:

 Located in Lekki phase 1, TLC houses 3 houses 3 unique venues.

  • The Imperial (Events Hall)
  • Skyview (Lounge)
  • La Vida Bella (Lounge/Bar)

Along with a panoramic view of the sky and ocean, Skyview offers a space that can contain 500 people in banquet-style seating and 1000 people in theatre-style seating. There’s also a 500 vehicle capacity parking space.

It costs about N4 million to rent The Imperial Hall. Skyview costs N2.5 million.

 

6) Dorchester Event Centre: 

Located on Water Corporation drive in Victoria Island, this marquee tent hall offers a space that can contain 4000 people in banquet-style seating and 1500 people in theatre-style seating.

It costs N2.7 million to rent.

 

7) Oriental Hotel: 

Located on Lekki-Ekpe expresswaythis really popular venue offers a space that can contain 2000 people in theatre-style seating and 1200 people in banquet-style seating.

Renting it for an event costs about N5 million.

 

8) Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel:

Possessing a fully air-conditioned space, large parking lot, a business lounge and an outdoor terrace overlooking the Lagos lagoon, this venue (located at Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue) offers a space that can contain 110 people in theatre-style seating and 58 people in banquet-style seating.

Renting this small and cozy venue costs about N2 million.

 

9) Anchor Events Place: 

It’s been said that this venue (located beside FIRS Agidingbi, Ikeja) has been booked every single weekend since it was built. No surprise there, seeing as it’s the cheapest to rent on this list (N950,000) and comes with air-conditioning, a standby generator, ample parking space and the capacity to contain 1500 people in theatre-style seating and 1000 people in banquet-style seating.

It costs about N950,000 to rent.

 

10) Federal Palace Hotel & Events: 

Located at 6-8 Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Federal Palace hotel houses some of the best event and conference venues in Lagos. There are nine luxurious and convenient executive boardrooms in which to conduct daily business affairs, as well as the Explorer Annex and the External Ballroom which can host up to 500 people. The eleven conference and meeting venues can host anything from 10 to 500 people.

Renting costs about N600,000.
